When a CAF account is originally set up - usually through a
Gift Aid Declaration - CAF reclaims tax on the donor's behalf
and adds that rebate to the balance on your account. Again,
higher rate taxpayers must declare the gift on their annual
tax return to receive the balance.
This is a very similar method to making a donation by cheque
and one that suits regular donors who support a number of
charities. To use this method all you have to do is set up
and fund an account at the Charities Aid Foundation. When
you have done this simply send a CAF cheque to Communities
Empowerment Network for the amount you wish us to receive.
